A for-charity bar that lets you drink the world a better place

A burger and extra-crispy fries at Oregon Public House.

A philanthro-pub in the Dekum Triangle, Oregon Public House sends all its food & drink profits (after overhead) to the charity of your choice. So get ready for a huge bump in funding, The UGBFCSAB (Unshackle Giant Breasts From Constraining Shirts And Bras) Fund!! ...just kidding, they do good here

So yeah, being charitable has never been easier. Just belly up, order a pint of locally-crafted microbrew or cider, then tell the bartender which of the eight local charities your drinking should benefit. Then, do that at least seven more times... you know, just to be fair

The owners spent 2.5yrs gutting out the former Cannabis Cafe and turning it into a brick-laden old-school pub that's more about being kind than smoking kind

A lot of time was no doubt spent getting all lumberjack: one of the owners made the bar and stools himself using hand-cut salvaged wood

You can also feel good about cramming your stomach with high-end pub grub, including this bacon cheeseburger w/ a banana/rum-based secret sauce or beer-battered fish w/ extra-crispy fries, all of which will work to unshackle you from the constraining bounds of health.
