Golden Girls-inspired cocktails in an arty garage

Portland's Lost & Found.

Producing something way more pleasant with a refurbished garage and repurposed instruments than 99% of PDX's musicians, Lost & Found serves Mason-jar cocktails amidst a gallery of rotating art accessed via a gigantic, retractable door on the quickly developing stretch of N Killingsworth. The sun-bathed interior keeps the garage vibe intact, from the exposed ventilation to the painted concrete walls. The only thing missing is your dad's secret magazine stash. Said walls also serve as a gallery for a rotating selection of purchasable art by local painters. There's non-purchasable art, too. These lamps are made of repurposed luggage, symbolizing the bar's unofficial airport theme. These lights/cymbals symbolize... cymbals. And lights. For those who prefer to keep their sun-bathing outside, there's this gigantic patio loaded with picnic tables. Mason-jar cocktails come loaded w/ booze and pop-culture references. This Bernie Lomax is a blueberry mojito w/ enough rum to make you go limp. Then there's a quartet of Golden Girls tails: The Dorothy has Tecate & lime; the Rose is rum & Champagne; the Sophia is bubbles w/ vodka; and the Blanche is just kinda slutty. There's a M-F happy hour w/ discounted pints by Breakside & Ninkasi, plus a simple, quesadilla-intensive food menu w/ fillings like steak and pulled pork slathered in a sweet sauce that'll provide your fingers w/ more tasty licks than most guitarists in Portland.
