Following PDX's 491 summer beerfests in a bid to make wooden tokens an actual form of currency, the inaugural Whiskeyfest Northwest is poised to take over the Pearl on May 11th, turning the 11th & Northrup block into a delicious sea of Scotch, rye, and bourbon, or what doctors refer to as "Amanda Bynes' stomach".
Cop 100+ whiskeys from nearly 70 international distillers like local boys Ransom, Scotland's Cragganmore, and Japan's Hibiki. And if it's craft cocktails you crave, you can score custom drinks from Imperial and the Raven & Rose dudes. The all-day soundtrack's provided by bands like vocal-jazzers The Stolen Sweets and rowdy bluegrassers Sassparilla. And after the last shot's been fired back, come back to the future at a DJ-fueled afterparty at Urban Studio, after which you will be shocked to find out that you can't pay for a cab ride with wooden tokens... yet.
