San Diego is inarguably the best place to drink beer, which means San Diego Beer Week is inarguably the best week of beer drinking that happens anywhere. Luckily, you happen to live here! Now here's where you should go drink:
Event of the Week Beer Week kicks off on Friday with the San Diego Brewers Guild Festival VIP Brewer Takeover. From 6-9pm at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, you can meet local brewers and taste as many local, rare, and specialty beers as you want, including some that were brewed exclusively for this event. Tickets include unlimited beer tasters and unlimited food samples from local vendors.

Friday, November 7th: Draft in Mission Beach is teaming up with Modern Times Brewing for Modern Times & Rhymes. From 6pm-midnight there will be live music and six Modern Times beers on tap, in addition to the countless other brews they have on draft. The event is free, and the first 50 folks to arrive get a free glass and Modern Times pour to go with it.
Saturday, November 8th:The San Diego Brewers Guild Festival is another can't-miss kick off to beer week, going down at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. Tickets get you a commemorative tasting glass and unlimited beer samples from San Diego County breweries. There will be live music, half hour beer education classes (learning!), food trucks, and bites from local restos.
Saturday, November 8th: Join Green Flash and H2O Trash Patrol to help clean up the beach in Mission Bay at 9am. Then come to the tasting room from 6-10pm to celebrate the release of two new IPAs, Jibe (Session IPA) & Soul Style (Single IPA). There will also be a screening of What The Sea Gives Me from Misfit Pictures with a Q&A, nautical giveaways like sailing & surfing lessons, prizes from Green Flash, and more.
Thursday, November 13th: Starting at 6pm, SILO in Makers Quarter will host the 3rd Craft Beer + Bites until 9pm. There will be brews from 15 local breweries, food trucks, music, live art demonstrations, and games like bocce ball and life-sized flip cup. Craft cocktails and wine will also be available from Alchemy Cultural Fare.
Thursday, November 13th: Starting at 6:30pm, Greg Koch (CEO of Stone Brewing) will be hanging out Downtown at Neighborhood, and he’s bringing some of his favorite beers to share, including some vintage Stone brews, world class collaborations, and one-offs. Flights of these brews will be available, and the event is free to the public.
Sunday, November 16th: The official closing event of Beer Week is the Beer Garden happening at The Lodge at Torrey Pines from noon-3pm. The Beer Garden will pair 24 breweries with 12 chefs to create delicious food and brew pairings with unlimited samples served on the Arroyo Terrace.
