Thursday, July 11thLooking down on Connecticut Ave, and East Coast skiers in general, Kabin is a just-opened "après-ski chalet"-themed lounge where the only people donning onesies will be the ladies. It's filled w/ glistening bronze & steel accents and charcoal-finished wood walls; come by to sip on "mountain villa herbal liqueur" by Three Pins and talk about how you rule in the pipe. Check out the whole space

Fête your eyes on this cubism-inspired Bastille Day party that starts at the Phillips w/ a "Let them eat cake" dessert bar, cubist cocktails, and a photo booth by OnomonoMEDIA. Plus, it all ends with an after-party at Malmaison. You wanna party? Buy a ticket.

Could the DNV rooftop get any cooler?? Yes. But aside from that, tonight they're bringing in ice sculptor Gardner Dunn (7p) for a carving demo of ice spheres from a 3ft square block, all to be plunked into a special Suntory whisky punch (Hakushu 12yr/ unsalted yuzu/ cucumber juice/ shiso leaves). Haven't seen the new roofdeck? Pics are up!

Friday, July 12thMore familiar with another kind of "drive two-letter word", DC's now getting lit up by its first ever drive-in movie theater, which is being projected at Union Market. Make a reservation if you are driving, but if not, bike or walk over to catch Dr. Strangelove on the three-story wall and all of the market's vendors serving their goodies via rollerskating car hops. You'll need to call in advance with the car; check out the details now

Worry not about catching Mommy kissing Santa Claus then ruining your childhood at The Black Squirrel's Christmas in July party... because she'll be too busy making out w/ eight holiday ales and passed cookies. Hit the site for a list of the beers they'll have

Saturday, July 13thCelebrating their third birthday like any regular toddler upscale brewpub, Mad Fox is hosting a full day of BBQ, live music, and exclusive tapping w/ their coooo Orange Whip IPA, Oaked Batch 100, and Oaked Batch 300. It's an all day event. Be sure to check when you want to show up -- which should be at noon.

Monday, July 15thGet into minibar and barminifor free. That's right. They're having an open house from 5-9p where you can sample iconic dishes from minibar and a celebratory drink from barmini. In addition, one lucky guest will walk out w/ a complimentary dinner for two at minibar, which, when you come back, won't be nearly as crowded. You'll definitely want to show up early

Local Lady We Love, And Where To Meet HerMeet Cori Sue Morris. Boston marathoner, party girl, paddle-boarder, brunch machine, and all-around-Bitch. The petite, sassy brunette is one-half of the duo behind Bitches Who Brunch -- which is where ladies (and dudes) across Washington have been turning to find the best eggs Benedict and endless cocktails for three years now.

Aside from the nearest patio that’s pouring mimosas, where can you find her? This Logan lady likes to burn off that French toast w/ some bocce at Black Jack or Vinoteca, or just say "Screw it" and knock back brews at the Standard or Churchkey.
