Mara's Homemade

The King Cake tradition dates back to the 1870s, when New Orleans bakers started hiding dolls representing Baby Jesus inside their cinnamon and sugar pecan confections (bite the head off, and say hello to Eternal Damnation). King Cakes take eight hours to make, so if you want one by Tuesday call by noon today, or you'll be feasting on Ring Dings.
