Steamy buns & other things worth biting

If you are the kind of person who enjoys craft cocktails, cheap beer, and... beef heart?... then you are the kind of person who needs to read about what ATL's top food & drink men insist is a must for 2013. Yeah that's right, beef heart

Paul Calvert, Bar Manager, Victory Sandwich Bar"In no particular order: Kimball House, cocktails made by David Durnell, Navarro Carr, Kellie Thorn, and Kevin Bragg, spending too much dough at the Holeman and Finch Bottle Shop, hanging the lights every so often at Proof and Provision, making sure I don't forget to visit H. Harper Station, where the whiskey flows wild, and drinking beer at The Wrecking Bar (love the kolsch).

Brandon Ley, Owner, Joystick Gamebar"Paper Plane. The guys at Victory Sandwich Bar are branching out into Decatur. They've got one of the most talented barmen in the city, Paul Calvert, running Paper Plane inside the new Victory location. I'm excited about Kevin Gillespie's new restaurant Gun Show, too.

Art Smith, Owner, Southern Art"Any artisan drink made with domestic small batch... bourbon is hot.

Adam Evans, Executive Chef, The Optimist"I'm really excited for Yum Bunz to open right down the street from The Optimist. I think they will do very well because they have a great concept, and who in their right mind doesn't like steamed buns?!

Scott Serpas, Owner, Serpas"Beef heart. I have some employees from Peru and they have expressed this as a delicious staple in their country.

Mike LaSage, Owner, Bone Lick BBQ"Well, 2013 is going to bring us the new home of Monday Night Beers. It's right in the Bone Lick neighborhood, and we could not be happier to have them as new neighbors. That's just going to be dope as hell."
