California's given the country plenty of things, and Brody Jenner has banged every one of them. Even the avocados. And now it's giving you some bangin' brisket, at Baby Blues BBQ.
Blues is a souped-up smokehouse born from three iconic joints in Cali, offering up NC-style pork, TX-style brisket, and Memphis-style ribs in a bombed-out interior of exposed brick and steel contrasted by plush furnishings evoking the 19th Century, a time when men were men, except for the ones named Leslie. For less-messy bread-borne fare, there're catfish and shrimp po'boys, the pulled pork/sharp cheddar/cole slaw Macnow, plus two maple bacon-topped burgers: the American/fried onion/BBQ-sauce Willie Brown and the blue cheese/"Lincolnberry" mustard Lasker Burger, all served with "a fistful of fries", also a film from a little-known subsection of the "Carbohydrate Western" genre. Combo platters include the half-rack-each baby back/Memphis rib Memphis Queen, The Flintstone (a whole rack of Texas beef ribs & four sides), and a half rack of Memphis ribs plus a shrimp platter called The Deuce, which you should really do your best not to drop in the restaurant.
Drinks include wine, a load of canned/bottled brews, custom cocktails like the completely ridiculous Dave's Heavy Hitter (Tito's, Bacardi, Tanq, 1800 Silver, peach schnapps, Razzmatazz, sour, pineapple juice), and they're even serving KoolAid, which all the girls on The Hills have drank except for Spencer's sister...how can she resist him in those boardshorts?!?
