Rotisserie lamb and brick-oven pizza in the North End

Because it's tough to release a box set of your "greatest hits" when said hits need to be refrigerated, the longtime North End restaurateur behind popular spots Bricco, Mare, and Umbria Prime is instead unveiling his assemblage of greatest dishes at Quattro, a new 40-seat Italian corner eatery that specializes in grilled meats, sfizi, and brick-oven pizzas, and may or may not be named for a character from American Gladiators.Eschew one of 18 so-heavy-only-Quattro-the-Gladiator-could-pick-them-up marble tables in the dining room to grab a seat at this rich (and also really heavy) marble bar, from which you can stare longingly into the open kitchen at rotisseries of meat or the brick oven imported from Naples.10in authentic Neapolitan 'zas range from an exotic mushroom number topped w/ speck, Gorgonzola & arugula, to one with sausage & rabe, to this straight-up buffalo mozzarella Margherita. Perhaps party-size 18in Parma, prosciutto & mozzarella sammies are more to your liking. Wash it all down with a pint of draft suds (Magic Hat No. 9 and Hoegaarden kick things off) or this handsome glass of red wine, positioned ever so carefully next to a candle for dramatic effect.
