Dual identities can be fun, letting you be a businessman by day and fight crime at night, or be Aaron Burr. Unleashing two grandly different sides of sustenance, Community Cafe/Dasiwa
CC/D's a coffee shop by morning/sushi bar after that, snuggled into the former Sylvia & Joe's Grocery, now decked with beige walls, a couple of wooden four-tops (linen-topped during dinner), and a dark wood counter surrounded by contemporary stools made of plastic and steel, aka the two fastest ways to pay for a cab. Morning brings hearty breakfast fare that'll change with the seasons, like yogurt parfaits made-to-order with whatever fruit's ripe and (soon to be locally made) baked goods and pastries, plus custom drinks made with La Colombe beans and seasonal teas, including a variety of candy-inspired lattes (peanut butter/chocolate sauce Peanut Butter Cup; a chocolate/caramel one that's "kinda like a Snickers"), as well as the Chai-zer Soze, made with espresso and tea (presumably Verbal). Come noon, Dasiwa's sushi menu takes the spotlight, featuring specialty rolls like the spicy tuna/seared tuna/mango Picasso, the soft shell crab/cucumber/avocado Spider Monkey, the Cali roll topped with seared yellowtail/bell pepper/bonito flake Bella, and the spicy salmon/jalapeno Rising Sun, which you should House before the Animals get to it
They're BYO, have breakfast sammies are coming soon, and also do takeout, just like Alexander Hamilton...ohhhhhhh! Where you at now, Burr?!? Huh?!?
