Downtown Vegas, get ready for some seriously slutty drinks

Seating at Mingo Kitchen & Lounge

Following the successful debut of his "Latin chic" restaurant Mundo, cool-name-having Mingo Collaso set his sights on the Arts District in downtown Vegas with this intimate lounge/restaurant that mixes a luxe vibe with delicious small and large plates, plus drinks named after things you really wanted to happen to you in 9th grade. The space itself is small, but well-appointed with leather banquettes leaving plenty of seating off the bar area. They've got their own tequila line called Alien, which works perfectly in the Alien Mule, also who brought Salacious Crumb the drugs that made him laugh so much. That's pretty tame next to cocktails that Mingo himself calls "slutty", like this Jack Daniels Honey/Arnold Palmer-esque "Jack My D".You are warned to "spit the gum, don't swallow" with the "Blow Pop".You heard it through, or possibly because of, the Absolut Grapevine-based "Gossip".The food is split into small and big bites, although this burger topped with a fried egg and bacon should be on the "at least like seven or eight really big bites" section. They've also got honey-glazed Mahi Mahi, or you can go for the lobster corn dogs, or three cheese baked mac & cheese with a chipotle drizzle that'll make you fattened chic.
