The Saturday Kitchen folks class it up

Because desert-dwelling plants of the order Caryophyllales clearly can stand the heat, the folks behind Clapham's Cactus TV (Saturday Kitchen, Hairy Bikers, etc.) are now letting viewers into their studio kitchens in a more literal sense with a series of celeb chef-helmed cooking classes.Classes come in different shapes and sizes, with esteemed instructors like Michel Roux Jr & his trusty sous Monica Galetti. They'll start off demoing some tips & techniques, then run through classic dishes you'll be ruining learning to cook. Then it's your turn, as Monica & Michel personally show you the utter falsehood that is "the customer is always right".But, under their tutelage, you should have three courses, including the likes of roast duck breast on wilted turnip greens & parsnip tatin, or this mackerel w/ cauliflower puree & veg a la Grecque, (meaning "in the Greek style", so they're simmered with wine, olive oil, and herbs before crippling the world economy). When all's said and done, everyone heads downstairs and pours some wine to drown the meal they've just cooked… and speaking of vino, other experiences include the Saturday Kitchen Wine Experience, Ken Hom's Chinese New Year, and Adam Byatt, who's definitely comfortable around the dessert.
