The first non-mobile outpost from the metal-inspired winners of the first season of Great Food Truck Race, Grill 'Em's a diner-style setup with counter-seats, paintings of rockers like Rob Halford, and the scrawled saying "Death To False Burgers".

Thankfully, they don't have any of those: the expanded-from-the-truck menu includes 1/2lb ground beef options like the jalapeno-and-cream-cheese-loaded Napalm Of Death and the Pig Champion, topped w/ fried egg, Champagne hollandaise, and Canadian bacon.

1. Grill 'Em All 19 E Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801 (San Gabriel Valley)

The winners of the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race reached peak popularity with their food truck offerings that they had to go brick-and-mortar. The result is this quirky heavy metal-themed Alhambra spot that specializes in insanely over-the-top half-pound burgers. The fast-casual diner loads its burgers with accouterments like deep-fried bacon and grilled onion to cream cheese and pastrami. Whatever you get (there are about 15 options), be sure to make it a combo and get an order of the equally loaded hand-cut fries.
