Remember when you were a kid and wanted to put maple syrup on everything because you loved Mrs. Butterworth's
sexy rack maple-flavored syrup product? Well step up for round two, with Mara's Maples.
From her kitchen in Oakland, Mara Tobis, your average mom/criminal justice system worker spends whatever free hours she can scrape together putting maple deliciousness all over a range of snacks, although why you'd store Chocodiles over a giant gas burner is really not clear. Mara's real-maple-syrup-touched love covers a variety of nuts (walnuts, macadamia, cashews, etc), which can also be ramped up with spicy options (chili maple cashews) and other assorted flavors including curry maple cashews and almonds covered in cinnamon maple, also Marla Maples stage name when she was off Broadway, doing Trump on Fifth Ave. She's also got other snacks like maple popcorn "with a kick", trail mix, and granola options like maple mango with macadamia nuts, chewy vanilla with spiced pecans, and fruit n' spice, also a spin-off starring Geri Halliwell and the "funny" guy from Will & Grace.
If that ain't enough, Mara's also rocking chocolate bark that's on hiatus due to the California sun, but she's sure it'll be back in time for the holidays, which'll recall the very Christmas pancake breakfast at which that foxy Mrs. Butterworth first made you feel funny down in your own Log Cabin.
