Ridiculous hot dogs in The Gables

Nothing says "high-level professional sports" like "hot dogs covered in bacon and cheese", or so claims Sweet Dogs, a counter-service joint in the Gables with framed local team jerseys and 1930s photos of city landmarks. They're piling basically every single thing that can make you look like Vince Wilfork onto sports-themed beef tubes -- oh, and each one comes with a mini-candy bar. Annnnnd the starting lineup

The Heat: Housemade beef chili, cheddar, tomatoes, guac, jalapenos, corn chips -- giving it to Charles Barkley is one way to get him to shut up

The Panther: Grilled ham, sauteed peppers & onions, sesame seeds, sweet relish, sweet & sour sauce, La Choy crispy noodles, and the ability to also make you unable to play hockey

The U: Smoked bacon, sauteed onions, sauerkraut, chopped tomato, salsa, and corn chips

The Dolphin: That ham, smoked bacon, melted mozz, pineapple, papitas, and top-secret "Home Sauce"

The Marlin: Fried egg, sweet plantains, onions, banana peppers, guava BBQ sauce, and fried potato sticks (note: do not disassemble and trade to Toronto).
