Thursday Seth Meyers is prepared to give you a pre-weekend update on funny starting at 8p at the Fillmore, to open this weekend's South Beach Comedy Festival. Saturday Grab your floaty wings, beers, and whatever else you might use to relax in the ocean and head to South Beach for Floatopia, at which the whole city gathers to lay around on giant inflatable toys and splash water at each other. Food Truck Invasion lands at the Magic City Casino at 5p for the largest food truck event in the history of food trucks events. 65 'mobiles will run a two-mile caravan into the parking lot starting at 430p. And, once you’re full, there’s a dog track right there
Eating House is throwing a 4/20-themed dinner with munchies-style food like short rib bagel bites, cold lo mein and a brownie sundae for “$42.0”/person. There’ll be stoner flicks and a guy playing covers of Grateful Dead, Sublime, Snoop Dogg, and Cypress Hill. Get off the couch and make a reservation!
Sunday Chefs from Yardbird, The Federal, and other joints will duke it out for the title of “Prince of Pork” at Cochon 555 Miami Sunday at 4p at the Four Seasons. Each chef will make a menu from heritage breed pigs, pair it with wine, and let the judges decide.
