Behold: America's unhealthiest meal

Red Robin: home to the nation's fastest busboy and also its most lethal meal. After bestowing their top "honor" on Long John Silver's last year, the Center for Science in the Public Interest has now christened Red Robin's "Monster" A.1. Peppercorn burger with bottomless steak fries and a "Monster" salted caramel shake the unhealthiest chain meal in all the land. In case you were wondering, it's 3,540cal.

The watchdog group reviews hundreds of chain restaurant menus each year ahead of its annual Xtreme Eating Awards, and this year, Red Robin took the gold medal. For those behind on Red Robinspeak, making something a "monster" is their version of super-sizing, which means their winning meal boasts a jumbo milkshake and a burger with a bonus second patty.

While this monstrous meal was the ultimate victor, there were plenty of talented runners-up, including The Big "Hook" Up platter from Joe's Crab Shack (3,280cal), the Bruléed French Toast from Cheesecake Factory (2,780cal), the Big Slab of St. Louis-Style Spareribs from Famous Dave's (2,770cal), and the Prime New York Steak Contadina style from Maggiano’s Little Italy (2,420cal). That's just the top five, but Cheesecake Factory made a strong showing throughout, which makes us regret that cheesecake binge we conducted even more than we already do.
