Bill Murray's 9 best food and drink moments
In case you hadn't heard, a Canadian film fest has decreed today, September 5th, Bill Murray Day. And while we consider just about any day Bill Murray Day, we had to mark the occasion with a round-up of our favorite food and drink moments from America's national treasure. (Sorry, Constitution.) Enjoy them all below, and, if you thought for a second we included Garfield, go sit in a corner and think about what you've done.
The whole movie. What? It's in the name.
We always wanted to know how to snag coffee with Murray, and the answer is apparently "be GZA and RZA".
Really, if anyone needed "a relaxing time" with some Suntory, it was that insane commercial director.
Now you know: if you didn't just run through a rainstorm, Bill Murray doesn't want you to watch his movie.
Long before Tina Fey was selling "Mom Jeans" or Andy Samberg was bringing people to "Taco Town", Murray was making excellent OG SNL ad parodies with this commercial for "Swill" mineral water. Fresh from Lake Erie, so you know it's good. Er, actually, it'll poison you.
Man, if her food is getting that kind of reaction, Fay should open a comfort food spot. She'd have lines out the door, even if the corn wasn't hand-shucked.
We've tried to become as awesome as Bill Murray by eating his insane Groundhog Day breakfast, but we didn't get to punch Ned Ryerson in the face or amaze Andie MacDowell with our piano skills. We just got diabetes.
It might've started as Spengler's show, but Venkman's important, "What about the Twinkie?" line is what really drives this scene home.
So classic. So simple. So gross. And definitely something the Dalai Lama would appreciate.
