Customer leaves three waitresses a $5,000 tip. Each.

Tipping 20% is nice, tipping 25% is even nicer, but tipping 6 bajillion%? That's something that only happens in the gracious town of Caledonia, IL, where three waitresses received checks for $5K apiece from a super generous patron last weekend.
Amber Kariolich, Amy Sabani, and Sarah Seckinger were all working a shift at Boone County Family Restaurant on Saturday when their benefactress overheard them griping about bills and so many other things they couldn't afford. (Curse you, Costco wine cellar!) She asked for their names before quickly doling out three separate checks for $5,000, much to the ladies' shock and disbelief. The restaurant's owner, who's keeping the tipper anonymous, even called the bank to make sure the checks were legit -- they were, and the lucky gals are already planning to put them towards tuition and quality time with their kids. As for the donor, she probably just leapfrogged over Mother Teresa for sainthood.
