Every thousand years or so, a new podcast comes along, one that will change the way you look at the world, and podcasts, and the color of the milk you just slurped out of your bowl. That podcast is here.
That Podcast is Cereal.
At Thrillist, we write lots of stuff, and sometimes, on good days, we talk too. Cereal is the expansion of those good days. It’s a discussion of absurd depth and dissection of everything from Lucky Charms to Kix to Grape Nuts (ok, maybe Grape Nuts), a sugar-powered journey, a discourse that Neil deGrasse Tyson will surely one day call “far darker and more deadly than a black hole, but in the good way.”
Our Editorial Director Ben Robinson has teamed up with the well-fed media geniuses at Heritage Radio Network to create the weekly program Cereal (airing at 5pm Eastern every Wednesday, and highly subscribable via iTunes), which will dig into the breakfast cereals that have touched basically everyone’s lives in one way or another, breaking down their nuances, their delicious majesty, their occasional but very real flaws, and of course their long-term resistance to milk.
Guests this inaugural season will include everyone's favorite hilarious Internet person The Fat Jew, former Gawker and Deadspin Editor in Chief and Ratter founder A.J. Daulerio, This American Life regular and Tasteful Nudes author Dave Hill, Food Network Star champion and Do or Dine owner Justin Warner, professional ingestor Eric “Badlands” Booker, and former NY Times food critic and 1000 Foods To Eat Before You Die author Mimi Sheraton. You won't be able to tell because this is a radio program, but they're all very good looking.
Subscribe to Cereal right here, and become the person you always thought you could be.
