Bend it like Bennigan's: David Beckham might open a restaurant chain

He's already got "professional athlete", "Posh banger", and "wearer of suits" on his resume, but it looks like David Beckham is now gunning for the title of "restauranteur". According to the British tabloid The Daily Star, Beckham is considering a chain of eateries in the U.S. named Beckham's Bistro, obviously. This would mark the soccer star's first real foray into the restaurant game, after he unexpectedly pulled out of a partnership with chef Gordon Ramsay to run the Union Street Cafe in London last year. (We hear Gordon was super chill about the whole thing.) Little else is known about this potential restaurant -- and considering the source, it could be nothing more than wishful whimsy -- but we nonetheless look forward to the inevitable entree called "Beckham Balls".
