A Prisoner on Death Row Just Requested an Insane Last Meal

Criminals on death row have been known to ask for some eccentric final meals -- just check out Henry Hargreaves' photo series -- but Kelly Renee Gissendaner's request might take the cake. (Ironically, that's one of the few things she didn't want.) Ahead of her scheduled February 25th execution, Gissendaner asked for two Burger King Whoppers; two large fries; cornbread with a side of buttermilk; popcorn; salad with boiled eggs, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, carrots, cheese, and Newman's Own buttermilk dressing; cherry vanilla ice cream; and lemonade.

For those playing along at home, that's a 4,200-calorie dinner.

Gissendaner is the only woman currently on death row in Georgia. She was sentenced in 1998 for convincing her boyfriend Gregory Owen to murder her husband. (Owen testified against Gissendaner, which got him a life prison sentence.) She'll receive a lethal injection at 7pm next Wednesday, after she finishes her extravagant last meal.
