This map reveals which major burger joint is closest to you
Earlier this year, we learned that most Waffle Houses are (not) shockingly concentrated in Atlanta. But what about drive-thru juggernauts like McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's? Flowing Data took it upon itself to pinpoint the coordinates of seven major fast-food brands across the nation in one convenient, color-coded map.
Some findings:
- No matter where you are, you can probably drive to a McDonald's
- Dairy Queen cleaned up pretty impressively across the board, giving its royal rival Burger King a run for its crown
- The Southeast is the Sonic promised land
- The good people of Montana could really use some more fast-food options
Flowing Data also made mini maps of some smaller cult chains' spreads (Five Guys, In-N-Out, etc.) that you can browse on their site, so make sure to update your road atlas with all this crucial data immediately.
