The food gods on high (and their disciple DudeFoods) long ago established this law: If you deep-fry it, it will improve. Never one to doubt the gods, Carrian at Oh, Sweet Basil put this commandment to the test by frying up a classic strawberry shortcake. And lo, it was good.
Carrian achieved this feat by frying Pillsbury biscuits for 30-60 seconds, then coating the warm dough in cinnamon sugar and plopping the whipped cream and strawberries on top. As you can see, it all turned out pretty great. Because of course it did. It's fried strawberry shortcake.
