Even though they contain the most precious cargo, pizza boxes don't serve much of a purpose after you've unloaded your pie. That's about to change with GreenBox, a revolutionary pizza box that transforms into four plates and a leftovers container through some strategic tearing and folding.
The whole goal of GreenBox is to make pizza-eating more eco-friendly -- and given all the paper products that usually go with it, it's only slightly greener than leaving your Hummer running in traffic. So the company made these boxes out of 100% recycled (and recyclable) cardboard with special perforated edges that turn the top half into four plates and the bottom half into a smaller storage box. GreenBox prez Jennifer Wright says several pizza box distributors have bought the "smart boxes" -- in fact, half of the Whole Foods in the US apparently already use them.
