Guy Fieri actually wins a NY Wine & Food Fest award, for his mac & cheese burger

This weekend at the New York Food and Wine Festival, culinary punching bag Guy Fieri somehow bobbed and weaved to legitimate acclaim, thanks to beef, bacon, and mac & cheese. Friday Night's Blue Moon Burger Bash pitted 27 chefs against each other for the title of Burger King (lawsuit pending?), and featured patties topped with everything form Cheese Whiz to lobster butter. When the dust settled, the people's choice award was a split decision between three-time cham Josh Capon of NYC's Burger & Barrel (for his onion and bacon jam Bash Burger) and Food Network chef-lebrity Fieri, who dreamed up a 22-ingredient bacon mac and cheese burger. Check the Food Network video recap below in which Fieri describes his burger as "out of bounds" and awkwardly wipes Sarah De Heer's mouth with a napkin.
