In a sad follow-up to what one Drinks Business commenter called the story of the decade, Swino the Australian beer-stealing feral pig was just found dead. The hog became a folks hero for downing 18 beers left outside a campsite. It then picked a fight with a cow, which was later seen chasing it into a nearby river. After several subsequent alcohol thefts Swino became a candidate for the mascot of the West Australian highway department, but before his star could truly rise he was found dead on the side of the road, presumably hit by a truck. He is survived by thousands of other feral hogs who, if given the chance, will also drink your beer.
