Way back in January, Hershey's announced its sincere intention to annihilate Nutella with their new line of chocolate spreads. But since people are still putting that hazelnut stuff on everything, the candy warlords are bringing out the big guns with a new pot of melted-down peanut butter cups, Reese's Spreads.
Boasting the "perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter flavors in spreadable form", Reese's Spreads is now available in grocery and drug stores nationwide. Each 13oz jar will start at $3.89, which is a full $.10 more than the chocolate spreads, because Hershey's knows PB is your one true weakness. As with the original lineup, Hershey's wants you to try this stuff on everything from veggies to banana chips. But if you're a real Reese's junkie, you might as well cut out the middleman and inject this goop straight into your veins.
Kristin Hunt is a Food/Drink staff writer for Thrillist, and wonders if eating this out of the jar is frowned upon. Asking for a friend. Follow her at @kristin_hunt.
