This machine will make bacon at the push of a button

If you've ever used one of those air vent hand dryers in public bathrooms, you've probably confused its instructions for "push button, receive bacon"... and invariably been doubly disappointed when it barely worked for its intended purpose. But a team of engineers has set out to make things right, and they're building a machine that'll dispense bacon with the push of a button.

The Rabbit Hole, a bunch of certifiably ingenious bacon-lovers and hackers, decided to put together an instant-bacon machine using spare parts, and they're well on their way to completion. Check out the progress below:

As you can see, they're still tooling with the prototype; the bacon has to be fed into the machine, which has been put together using parts from laser fusers and printers, and will hopefully be able to heat it to an optimal temperature of over 450 degrees.

But give these heroes some time, and bacon will be at our fingertips. What a delicious future it will be.
