Between tater tots, pizza rolls, and Leslie Knope's entire diet, it seems like everything is being waffled these days. So it was only a matter of time before someone attempted to waffle fried rice, and -- we gotta say -- the results are pretty incredible. This impressive culinary creation, infused with kimchi and gochujang chili paste, comes courtesy of food blogger Miss Hangrypants, a cook whose bad side we're eager to avoid.
Waffling the rice, according to her, "makes your rice crispy and chewy like you'd find it in the bottom of a Korean hot stone pot", which is balanced nicely by topping it all with a gooey fried egg. Granted, you'll need a waffle iron on hand to make this recipe, but in light of recent trends, it'll probably be a worthwhile investment. Now pass the bulgogi bacon.
