Is This McDonald's Minions Toy Saying "WTF"?

In what amounts to the audio equivalent of a Rorschach inkblot test, parents across the nation are outraged over a talking Happy Meal toy that seemingly utters the words "What the fuck." The toy in question, one of the yellow pill-shaped guys from the new Minions movie, says three phrases when tapped against something.

Does it sound like he's cursing? Yeah, maybe, but according to McDonald's, the toy's three sounds ("para la bukay," ''hahaha," and "eh eh") are just more of the nonsense noises made by the Minions characters -- which, if you stop to think for even a second, makes a lot more sense than the alternative. People simply hear what they want to hear, and anyone who's been a kid before (read: everyone) knows children are exposed to cursing way earlier than their over-sensitive parents would like to think.

You needn't lose all faith in humanity, though: judging from the overwhelming number of thumbs-down votes on the above Youtube video -- and the fact that comments have been disabled -- the vast majority of people seem to agree there's absolutely nothing to be upset about here.
