In perhaps the first ever midnight pastry release, Cronut creator Dominique Ansel just debuted his new cookie/milk shot combo at Allison + Partners' SXSW party, and this is the girl who took its pastry virginity.
Her name is Bea, she works in social media for PurseBlog.com, and she waited 3hrs for the honor of downing the milk shot inspired by Ansel's recent experience trying an Oreo for the first time.
The verdict? It's delicious! The interior of the cookie cup is ingeniously frosted with a hard chocolate syrup to form a barrier between the milk and cookie, thus preserving its structural integrity and keeping you from getting covered with milky cookie goop.
Bea was lucky: The line got even longer after that. But luckily, everyone who endured the wait got a cookie, and the satisfaction of knowing that they skipped a concert to stand around waiting for cookies with strangers.
