Kellogg adds two peanut butter Pop-Tarts, because they love you

Friends, the day has come. After years of ignoring America's hopes, prayers, and rogue, back-alley Skippy applications, Kellogg's has introduced peanut butter Pop-Tarts

The company revealed two new "Gone Nutty" flavors this week: Peanut Butter and Chocolate Peanut Butter. They'll be wrapped in gold foil instead of silver -- because they're just as great as a ticket to have Willy Wonka attempt to murder you -- and will both be filled with real, creamy peanut butter. The plain Peanut Butter flavor has a crunchy, PB-flavored crust sprinkled with sugar, while the Chocolate Peanut Butter variety has a crust topped with, well, chocolate.

Even though the Kellogg's brass admits peanut butter has been the most fan-requested flavor for a while, these are the first PB Pop-Tarts in 27 years. Their forerunner, the peanut butter and jelly Pop-Tart, was discontinued in 1986, most likely as punishment for that year producing Howard the Duck.
