For the second time in three years, pizza-slinging fast-food joint Sbarro (that by-the-slice place that inspired America to build a mall around every location) has filed for bankruptcy, meaning now is the best time to run out and get some. Just last month, the restaurant said that it would be closing 155 of its approximately 400 locations in North America, a move that crushed anyone who recently got over The Sharper Image's store closings.
The bankruptcy won't affect franchisees, so there's a decent chance that your local Sbarro (or the other one that's 10mins farther away) won't be closing after all. But still, this could be huge for entrepreneurs like Samir Mezrahi, who's selling one slice for $100k. This will seem like a bargain in a few years if they all close down.
