This Restaurant Gives Free Meals to Its Hottest Customers

Ever wonder what happened to the TV visionaries behind Next? Apparently they just acquired a restaurant in China. As part of a so-called "Pay by the Face" promotion, a hot pot restaurant in Zhengzhou is comping meals for customers with the most attractive face scans -- because, much like Regina George, they believe pretty people shouldn't have to pay for anything.

While the promo isn't actually run by a council of MTV contestants, it's manned by the next best thing: a team of plastic surgeons. As Shanghaiist reports, restaurant patrons scan their faces at a machine when they first arrive. The machine then sends the image over to the surgeons, who deliberate based on a "detailed scoring rubic" as the customers dine. The five people to achieve the highest scores in 30 minutes will be offered their food free of charge, and just to make it even more judgey, every score is posted on the second floor of the restaurant. Basically it's all the worst parts of high school combined, so if you never really got over graduation, we guess this is awesome news. But if you've actually moved on with your life, try these free food methods instead.
