Nope. Nope. NOPE.
The horrifying, banana-ruining, why-did-I-watch-that video above starts off normally enough with a seemingly normal banana lying on a table -- then the banana starts heaving, and a FREAKING SPIDER bursts loose from beneath its bright yellow peel. This is the stuff nightmares are made of, and it's enough to put you off bananas for the rest of your life.
At least, until you realize it's totally fake. The skin-crawling video was actually the work of Kaleb Lechowski, a German animator/director whose cgi student film, R'ha, went viral two years ago and is purportedly being adapted into a feature-length movie. What's more, this isn't his first foray into horrific arachnid-themed video clips: he was also credited with creating this similarly terrifying video of a spider leaping into attack mode after being poked one too many times.
Feel any better knowing the video's fake? No, neither do we.
