Taco Bell launches new menu for rich people who work out

Most people go to Taco Bell for Doritos Locos Tacos, waffle tacos, and burritos wrapped in quesadillas. But apparently T-Bell is looking to attract a whole new class of people who find $2 Crunchwraps gross and pedestrian. The chain is gearing up to launch a new "Power Platform" that offers healthier, higher-end alternatives to the regular menu... basically, the people who aren't walking gorditos.

First up is the Cantina Power Menu, a series of bowls and burritos boasting more than 20g of protein and fewer than 500cal apiece. Premium ingredient options include fire-grilled all-white meat chicken, grilled-USDA select steak, romaine lettuce, fresh pico de gallo, real cheddar cheese, reduced-fat sour cream, and guacamole made with real Haas avocados (as opposed to the plastic avocados stirred in your yeoman's guac). It's set to go national on July 17.

But that's not all! They're also testing a Power Breakfast Menu with Greek yogurt as the main attraction. The thought of eating a Taco Bell parfait for breakfast is more than a little strange, but we guess it's always nice to have new options. As long as kale stays far away.
