Shake Shack's crinkle fries are back, all is right in the world again

Mercury is out of retrograde and THINGS ARE REAAAALLLLY TURNING AROUND: Shake Shack's crinkle fries are back. The company broke the news of the big return in early August, citing the demand from their die-hard, crinkle fry-enthusiast customers as the main influence behind the decision.

These dream-sticks were phased out about a year ago, when the company decided to switch to a "fresher", hand-cut (read: boring) style of fry, and the people were not pleased. In an interesting twist, a few Thrillist employees actually swear they saw (and ate) the crinkle fries at the Madison Square Park location two months ago. But when we reached out to Shake Shack's PR person for comment, they would only confirm that, "As of today, crinkle-cut fries are back at all Shacks!" We're feeling like serious conspiracy theorists right now.

Shack CEO Randy Garutti made the official announcement via his Instagram this morning. If there's one important lesson to be learned here, it's that the crinkle fry will always prevail. Especially when covered in Shack sauce.
