Want to eat a Cronut without getting off of your couch?

Cronuts from Dominique Ansel Bakery

The Cronut craze has gotten out of control, spreading all over the country, even all over the world, and spawning all sorts of spin-off abominations and hybrids. And you haven't had a single one.Now The Cronut Project, a new do-gooder contest, wants to take care of that while making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, thanks to the Cronut in your stomach.

The Cronut Project

It's simple: you go to TheCronutProject.com and click "Participate", then you donate any amount of money above $5. Every single dollar that you donate goes directly to the Food Bank for New York City, and every dollar gives you another chance to win. Each day through Friday, August 2nd, TCP will do a drawing, and each day's lucky winner will receive two Cronuts, hand-delivered (within six hours of "them leaving the fryer"!) anywhere in the five boroughs. Because what is more American than sitting on your couch and eating flaky frosted pastries to help provide flaky frosted pastries actually nutritious food to those in need?
