A nod to historic Greenwich Village from a World Cup Star

Found only after traversing discreet hallways off the lobby of the Jade Hotel, this spot from restaurateur Frederick Lesort and World Cup-winning French soccer star Youri Djorkaeff is a nod to NY's "historic speakeasies". It's named for the Grapevine Tavern (where the term "heard it through the Grapevine" is thought to have originated, although that is disputed by most talking raisins), and will hook you up with top-notch 'tails like the Edgar Allan Poe (rum, pear puree, Creole Bitters...) and Frenchfluenced eats like steak tartare served with deliciously fragrant bread on a cutting board.
