Outdoor eating & drinking: the 5 best Philly events this weekend

Philadelphia Summer's almost over (it literally ends this weekend!), which means you've got a lot of stuff to do, like spend the last few days of not-fall eating and drinking outside. Here're the five best places to do it...

Thursday, September 18th: It’s time to pack on the pounds you'll need to stay warm this winter. The first step? Splurge at the Audi FEASTIVAL where all the good food in Philly will gather on Penn’s Landing so you can eat while soaking in the last bit of FringeArts. Continue Reading

Thursday, September 18th: If you don’t quite feel like spending the cash to get into FEASTIVAL, tonight’s Street Fare in Mt. Airy will also offer delectable bites from more than 50 local food trucks.

Friday, September 19th: Throughout the month of September, the Twisted Tail is hosting its Second Annual Distiller Series (in honor of Bourbon Heritage Month) with complimentary tastings of different bourbons every Friday. Pro tip: try this week’s Buffalo Trace sample on the spot’s outdoor patio.

Saturday, September 20th: Three sweet-eats spots, Parc, Rouge, and Devon, are taking over 18th (between Walnut and Locust) so they can launch one giant pop-up cafe starting at 11am. Bonus: you can walk off breakfast at the Rittenhouse Square Farmers’ Market just down the way.

Ongoing: The PHS Pop Up Garden is still open on South St through mid-October, and today the spot hosts a day-long jazz festival, and Pbon’s Fresh Phood will be there to feed you.
