This burger has buns made of deep-fried lasagna

Your stomach better be bigger than her eyes, because the crew behind PYT's Krispy Kreme sliders and bacon-shell tacos have taken your Italian grandmother's favorite Sunday supper to new depths (of their deep fryer) with the Lasagna Bun Burger, 5oz of cheesy-spicy meatball sandwiched between two quarter-pound wedges of crumb-battered, meat-gravied noodle pie. The burger's only on PYT's menu for a limited time, so click on it quick to see how this Franken-wich gets made before you take your pitchforks to it.

Just like your first date, it all starts with a burger. Unlike your first date (hopefully), it also involves latex gloves. 5oz of ground chuck gets balled up with a parsley, oregano, basil, garlic, and Parmesan-packed egg yolk marinade.

In a process that would take a week's worth of Garfields to sketch out, the lasagna's baked with noodles layered with chuck beef gravy, ricotta, and mozzarella, before being frozen, cut into quarter-pounders, and dredged in egg and house-made Italian breadcrumbs.

That whole freezing process is supposed to be a secret, so, like your burger on the grill, it's best to keep a lid on it.

They, meanwhile, keep a Provolone lid on it.

After the lasagna's been dropped in the fryer...

... it's getting dropped in a second time. In the same canola oil as your French fries. Yes, you're also getting French fries.

A bowl of them.

They're also sprinkled with Parmesan, garlic, parsley, oregano, and basil. But you won't be needing any ketchup.

That's because your burger is getting hit with more marinara sauce than PYT's pizza sliders and chicken Parm dog combined.

Buon appetito! And remember, unlike the Double Down, this isn't for chickens.
