Fake holidays, superhero pub crawls, and insane St. Paddy's Day parties
Atlanta Thursday, March 6th: Prohibition's National Smoke a Cigar Day... finally, a made-up holiday you can get behind! RSVP for a complimentary 18th Amendment cigar you can enjoy with a Scotch in one of this basement-bar's rich leather chairs, while wondering why Hallmark doesn't make greeting cards for this.
Friday, March 7th, 6pm: Friday Night Fun for Charity at... um, Monday Night Brewing offers-up all of the awesome these suds-makers usually provide, plus plenty of chances to pad your gift card stash with raffles from Fogo de Chao, Dave & Busters, and more. But you'll need to score some of these first...
Saturday, March 8th, 2pm: 10 different food trucks, 100 different beers, all at your friendly neighborhood Howell Mill food truck park's Taste and Brews Festival. The awesome twist here is that your ticket gets you your first five food truck samples free. Oh, and there’s no extra charge for all of that beer, either.
Saturday, March 8th, 3pm: The sprawling Lepre*CON, where thousands crowd Piedmont Park in their finest greenery, is quickly becoming Atlanta’s largest Spring s%^t-show. The amount of drinking, (partial) nudity, and general debauchery last year may mean it isn't long for this world, so... experience it while you can.
Saturday, March 8th, 7pm: It’s a bird? A plane? Nope, it’s some guy wearing a duct tape Thor costume and pounding Fireball shots on a sweet superheroes-inspired pub crawl, featuring an array of drink specials sure to impress that increasingly attractive She-Hulk.
Sunday, March 9th, 3pm: Show up at The Goat Farm's Sunday Food Swap with a batch of whatever your homemade specialty is (baconshell taco, perhaps?), and swap it for someone else's creation. You may get fresh veggies from a Decatur backyard, or a Buckheadian’s insane five-meat pot pie. You gotta show up to find out, my friend.
