Austin Event of the Week Even though you personally believe you ALWAYS raise drinking beer to an art form, take the beer-art connection to the next level at the 2nd annual Art of the Brew this Saturday, which brings together Austin’s music, visual arts, and brewing communities on a series of collabs (parts of which you can taste!). Participating breweries include Jester King, St. Arnold, and Black Star Co-op, and there’ll be edible art from food trucks Shhmaltz and Wunder Pig Barbecue Co.

Thursday, September 4th: Do you secretly think children’s museums are cool, but loathe children? Austin’s Thinkery21 is back this Thursday, coupling 21 and over-only shenanigans, like mixology lessons and a cash bar (bring cash, there’s no ATM), with sandwiches from Short Bus Subs (of course), foursquare (the playground game, not the app), and a photobooth with appropriately embarrassing ‘80s backdrops and props. There’s lots more action, too… get your tickets here.
Saturday, September 5th - Sunday, September 6th: Live-action graphic novel series Intergalactic Nemesis is coming to the Long Center with its latest: Twin Infinity. If you’ve never seen this comic book/live theater hybrid, you’re missing out. If you have seen it, you probably already have your tickets.
