This Thursday, hit the Austin Beer Guide Winter 2013 Release Party at the new-ish Austin Beer Garden Brewery (the ABGB, for abbreviators). Besides unveiling the newest edition of the guide, there'll be an awards ceremony honoring the 2013 winning picks, chosen by readers and editors. Expect to see all your favorite brewers (Hops and Grain, Austin Beerworks, Jester King), and more importantly, expect to drink from special edition firkins of their brews. "Craft Santa" will be there with gifts for beer drinkers who have been extra good (or have at least consumed a lot of craft beer) this year.
Thursday, December 19th: The Volstead Holiday Party will be offering up FREE food and beer as well as plenty of DJs to help you dance off said food and beer, plus vendors on the off-chance you've been too busy with food and beer to get any shopping done. Get there early for the FREE stuff

Friday, December 20th: Empire Control Room & Garage is having their Winter Formal with The French Horn Rebellion, Sphynx, and Holiday Mountain, so get yourself all gussied up, grab a date, and try not to be nervous that your hands will get all sweaty when you're dancing together. Tuxedo t-shirts may or may not count
Friday, December 20th: Join the party at the Master Pancake R-rated Holiday Extravaganza at Alamo Drafthouse Ritz, where the comedy trio will "mock a blizzard of clips from your favorite holiday movies and specials". Ticket price includes sing-along, snacks, and guaranteed inappropriateness. Get your tix here!
