Local bars get all 1984

It's easy to get confused and show up to the wrong bar on the wrong evening, what with all the ladies' nights, pub quizzes, and, you know, drinking. Now you can get visual confirmation of where the fun's to be had, with BarSpace.tv.

Run by a couple of bro-Namaths who met at Sonoma State, Space is a real-time, awesomely voyeuristic portal to video from inside bars across the country (for now it's mostly Cali-centric, with 11 joints and counting in SD), perfect for being super weird checking out the scene before committing to one nightspot, as illustrated by their slogan "where you going tonight?" -- also Joey's only follow-up when the chick dismissively answers, "I'm doing fine, thanks". The cameras are provided and installed by Barspace, all shoot at one frame/second (so, fittingly jerky), are turned off at the bars' discretion (so as to not kill all the after-hours scenes), and are currently running in SD venues like Del Mar's Jimmy O's, the Gaslamp Tavern, and somewhere called "Club Bananas", aka what Dunbar wanted to do after Johnny gave immunity to Kenny instead. Sign up, and they'll also keep you informed (via text and/or email) with venue updates covering everything from drink specials, to upcoming events like Brewley's Pint's "St. Practice Day" and Tavern at the Beach's "Drink Exchange" -- a conversion that always results in you getting pounds.

Rapidly expanding, they're taking an installation-heavy trip to SD in a couple weeks, and plan to have 750 nationwide locations participating by the end of the year, meaning that even on the evenings you decide to stay in, you'll be actively searching for ladies' night.
