Saturday, November 16th: Put on your comically oversized belt buckle and head on down to Kitchen, Inc. (Union Square) for a Lone Star-style breakfast from 9a-noon (or while supplies last). Joshua Lewin (Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro) and Katrina Jazayeri (Belly Wine Bar/Cuisine En Locale) are serving up tacos (migas, bacon, potato) and traditional sides (rice, beans, chips, salsa, quac) for a big taste of Texas. Pre-orders accepted, so don’t miss the chuck wagon.
Sunday, November 17th: If they ever re-make Hot Dog… The Movie, this is what it should be: Chef Dante de Magistris challenges 16 superstar chef pals to a frankfurter battle royale, aka the Best Dressed Dog Pageant. From 2-6p at Dante (on the patio, rain or shine), the culinary masters will grill up and top off grass-fed, all-beef dogs (from Savenor’s) and you decide the wiener, umm…winner. Tix are $20 at the door.
Wednesday, November 20th: High-brow cuisine meets low-brow classic comedy at the Reel Chefs dinner-and-a-movie series, featuring Chef Louie DiBiccari (Tavern Road) and best-ever-college-flick Animal House. Score a three-course menu of fall-themed small plates and special cocktails (like the Fat, Drunk, and Stupid) starting at 630p at the ultra-luxe Theatre 1 in the Revere Hotel.
