The Weekend Playbook: Liquor girls, beer gardens, and dogs dressed like Rambo

Event of the Week: Costume Crawl in Faneuil Hall Break out your old Zoolander costume again (chicks dig it) and join hordes of your closest friends at the massive Costume Crawl in Faneuil Hall this Saturday 2-8p. Do your best “Blue Steel” or “Le Tigra” at 16 (and counting) bars, each with food and drink specials, and try to nab some prizes and other Halloween swag along the way. Even though you’re really, really, ridiculously good looking, you will still need a ticket

Friday, October 25th The Boston Ski & Sports Club overtakes three floors of Lir from 9p-1a for the BeWicked Halloween Bash, their annual fright-fest featuring free apps, Halloween-themed American Honey drink specials, giveaways and goodie bags (!), a costume contest with prizes, and a tarot card and palm reader. Seal your fate here

Channel your inner sommelier (wine nerd) and dare yourself to sample every wine (250+) at the 21st Wine Riot, a two-day blowout at Park Plaza Castle. Wine 101 will bring you up to speed on vino vocab, the event’s wine app will help you not forget, and the 50 booths will ensure that there’s adult grape juice aplenty to dazzle your newly refined palate. Get your tickets here

Saturday, October 26th Stuff your Bullmastiff into his Rambo costume (if he’ll let you, likely not) and head down to Faneuil Hall 12-3p for the Halloween Pet Parade brought to you by the jokesters at Dick’s Last Resort. There will be pumpkin carving, live music, the “Master & Me” drink special in a souvenir glass, and a dog bowl (freebie!) for your slobbery companion

San Diego’s DJ Fresh One lays down scary fresh beats from 10p-2a at Devil’s Delight Halloween Bash hosted by GEM Italian Kitchen, Nightclub & Lounge. You don’t have to sell your soul to get in, but you do need to call for reservations (617.482.1213 or 617.405.5055 for a VIP table).

Sunday, October 27th Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Time to rumble as 10 food trucks from three cities (NYC, Boston, Providence) face off in Food Truck Bash, a northeast invitational in downtown Providence from 11a-8p. Face painting (!!!!!), a costume contest, live music, and the requisite beer garden round out the fun-menities

Usually closed on Sundays, Tico opens its doors from 8p-1a for their Patron XO Café infused Halloween shindig, complete with tequila tastings (Patron Girls!), music by DJ Jaz, a costume contest, Halloween giveaways, a $10 buffet (8-10p), and, as previously mentioned, the Patron Girls. Deets. Here.
Wednesday, October 30th Scrunch down your socks, hike up those leg warmers, and pump those Reeboks as
Abby Park (Milton) hosts a Back to the '80s Costume Party (8-11p), all themed up with vodka cocktails (Pac-Man, Capt. and Tab) and a special menu (Miami Vice Glazed Salmon, Cabbage Patch Salad [insert a million jokes here]), in addition to TransAtlantic DJ Steve Clark, another costume contest, and the Ketel One Girls (hopefully they brought the Patron Girls, too, and they’re all dressed as Smurfettes).
