Event of the Week: Whiskey Live Boston This one's a no-brainer. Wednesday night at the Park Plaza Castle, Whisky Magazine is throwing an epic festival of brown booze, featuring over 150 whiskies, full dinner buffet, and souvenir Glencairn glass. Not only that, but there's also an entire show-within-a-show, the Indie Spirits Expo, going down at the same time inside, and it'll be packed with tons of small-spirits distillers insisting you sample their small-batch gins, mezcals, and vodkas. Seriously, why have you not already clicked here to get your ticket?
Freebie of the Week Apparently, Sunday is National Coffee Day. Who knew? And to celebrate, the Common's
Earl of Sandwich is giving away free hot coffee all day to any and everyone who stops by and wants a cup. It's that simple.

Thursday, September 26th SkeeBOSTON skeeball kicks off season seven Thursday night at The Greatest Bar, with a free one-on-one tourney and chance win Bruins' tickets. Watch their commercial here. And then, our hilarious video from last year

Friday, September 27th In case you missed it, DTX's GEM Night Club & Lounge has recently retooled their menu and gone all-in on Italian. As in, it's now called GEM Italian Kitchen, Night Club & Lounge. Expect favorites like Kobe beef meatballs, veal Parmigiano, and goat cheese-topped rosemary bianca pizza.

Saturday, September 28th Saturday lightning round… go

You know it. You love it. You eat it with peanut butter. Now celebrate the famed marshmallow spread at this year's Fluff Festival in Union Square.

Popular Newbury Street clothier Ball & Buck is throwing their now-annual American Field two-day pop-up market this weekend at the SOWA Power Station. 50+ vendors, 14 food trucks, live tunes. Go U-S-A!
Meanwhile, at the Bank of America Pavilion from 11a-10p, celebrate the sea at the
second annual Boston Seafood Festival, which features two stages of chef demos and live bands, a lobster bake tent, oyster shucking contest, and, of course, seafood for everyone.

Later in the day back in Cambridge, take down desserts from over 20 area pastry chefs (for charity!) at Home Sweet Home VI. Score the details…

Sunday, September 29th
If you aren't in a food coma from Saturday's smorgasbord, the 10th annual Phantom Gourmet Food Festival is overtaking Lansdowne Street on Sunday from noon to 4p. And for some reason, the actor who played "Sweep the Leg" Johnny in Karate Kid, William Zabka, is scheduled to be in attendance. Consider yourself informed. Also, if that video doesn't give you the chills, you're a robot.

Tuesday, October 1st
Not that you needed another reason to go, but, starting Tuesday, one lucky lunch patron a day at Harvard's The Sinclair will find a golden ticket at their seat, which's redeemable for two tickets to an upcoming show of their choosing.

Wednesday, October 2nd
Celebrate Oktoberfest on Wednesday night at two spots: Somerville's Bergamot is rolling with a five-course German feast paired with suds from the Fatherland, while the Beehive's hosting their annual “Oktoberfest Der Beehive”, complete with rustic Bavarian food and a live show from the Octoberfest German Band.
