Dallas Event of the Week The Bedford Blues and BBQ Festival -- it’s sort of all in the name, isn’t it? Three days of BBQ competition glory and blues music blasting through the smoke-colored air. It’s going to be hot, but it’s going to worth it, as you stuff your face with lots of delicious brisket, sausage, and ribs while you take in the (sonically) delicious sounds of some blues guitar.

Thursday, August 28th: Phil is bringing his made-to-order cheesesteaks and chicken Phillies to Addison for a grand opening of Phil's Philly Grill this Thursday. With a few stores already in place around central Texas, Phil’s serves up traditional cheesesteaks, but also explores the form with some interesting combos such as the Hawaiian Philly, Super Italian, and the Teriyaki Fusion. Phil’s will also be offering gyros and quesadillas, so there are plenty of ways to get bigger.
Thursday, August 28th: There’s something really satisfying about slugging someone in the face, however, it’s even more satisfying watching someone land a punch while you drink beer and eat nachos. The Ticket is putting on its Corona Fight Night and no one will be spared. Guys and girls will be taking center stage to try and knock one another senseless. You should be safe from your seat, though.
Saturday, August 30th: This Saturday, the Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow is bringing you Raiders of The Lost Ark. You can pay homage to a guy much cooler than yourself by watching this classic on an outdoor screen, checking out live snakes, whip demonstrations, and enjoying refreshments from local food trucks and breweries.
Saturday, August 30th: College football, also known as the best excuse for day drinking in a parking lot, is back! This is the College GameDay kickoff, it’s happening in Sundance Square, and even though neither team is from Dallas (Oklahoma State vs. Florida State) we thank them for coming and giving us a reason to wake up early and enjoy a Bloody Mary.
